As per the letter that you will have received today on Parentmail we are holding a non-uniform day on Friday 24th June in memory of Saqib. On this day, we are asking children to wear superhero costumes [one of Saqib’s favourite things] or bright clothes, and to wear a hat.

All money raised will go towards the purchase of a friendship bench in Saqib’s memory. Any additional money will then be donated to a charity of the family’s choosing. The significance of wearing a hat is in recognition of the work done by the charity Brain Tumour Research.

The year 6 Leavers prom will be taking place on Thursday 14th July. The cost of the event is £5.00 to help to pay for the disco and food. The deadline to pay and do the consent form is Friday 1st July for catering purposes. Thank you.

As part of Year 1’s RE curriculum and the work they are completing on special places, the children will be visiting The Neeli Mosque and St Aiden’s Church both in Rochdale on the following dates:

Neeli Mosque: Monday 27th June

St Aiden’s Church: Thursday 30th June.

The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

From September 2022 Breakfast club charges will increase to £1 per day.

Unfortunately the after school clubs are now full for this term.

This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos.  There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support.
