Below is the information regarding your child’s class teacher in September:

Those children who will be going into Year 3 in September will need to start paying for school dinners, unless you are entitled to benefit related school meals. If you think you may be entitled then you can pick a form from the school office. Thank you.

Please can you ensure that school dinners are paid accordingy on Parent Mail and that there are no outstanding balances. Thank you.

The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

Oulder Hill will be having an Open Evening on 22nd September for children who are currently in Year 5—please see website for more details.

From September 2022 breakfast club charges will increase to £1 per day.

This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos.  There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support. From September we are planning to offer the chance for children in Year 3-6 to learn flute and/or a brass instrument.  These would be 45 minute lessons provided by a tutor from Rochdale Music Service, costing £2 per lesson.  If you would be interested in booking a place, please forward your expression of interest to office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk stating your child’s name and year group and whether you would prefer flutes or a  brass instrument.  At this stage we will look at the level of interest from parents before final confirmation.  Thanks.

A reminder that the Year 6 Leavers Prom is taking place on Thursday 14th July It will take place from 5.30 – 7.30pm Due to the Prom finishing late, all children will need to be collected by an adult (18 years old or over) at 7.30pm prompt.  Please ensure you bring your ticket to the prom.
