Thank you to everyone who wore their odd socks to school for Odd Socks Day! So many children celebrated how great it is to be different.

It was brilliant to see all the children in their pyjamas today for Children In Need. Thank you to everyone who donated, it is much appreciated.

This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class.  To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day.  Thank you for your continued support.

School Photographs will be taking place in school on Wednesday 23rd November, both individual photos and siblings. On this day please can Year 2 and Year 4 children come to school in their school uniform and not their PE kit.

The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

We are pleased to announce that breakfast club has maintained its 5* food hygiene rating following a visit from the council this week.

We will be holding Reading workshops on Mondays from 9am-9.30am in the school hall, to promote the benefits of positive reading with your child. Parents/carers are invited to attend, tea/coffee will be provided. The dates are as follows:

· Monday 21st November – Year 5

· Monday 28th November – Year 4

· Monday 5th December – Year 3

As a school, we are working on promoting a love of reading and it would be great to have parents as positive reading role models for the children. We hope to see as many parents as possible.

Ayra has made this amazing model of the Statue of Liberty as part of her year’s topic, where they are learning about landmark buildings across the world.

On Thursday 24th November, Year 4 children will going to The Reel Cinema in Rochdale to watch Horrible Histories: Rotten Romans, which is part of their History topic. The film is rated PG and so we will require parental permission to enable your child to go.
