Please can you ensure that payments for school dinners are up to date and that there are no outstanding payments. Thank you.
A reminder that children who will be going into Year 3 in September will be charged for school dinners if they choose to have them.
We still have places available in our nursery for September. If you are interested then please pick up an application form from the office. You will need to bring your child’s birth certificate and proof of address along with the completed application form. Thank you.
Please could we ask if anyone is a childminder or may know of anyone, for them to contact school so we could pass their details on as we have parents who are in need of before and after school childcare. You can email the school office:
office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk. Thank you.
This term, every week we will be looking at children’s attendance and all those children who have 100% attendance for the week will be put in to a draw to win 10 Dojos. There will be one random winner from each class. To ensure your child is entered into this weekly draw, all you have to do is make sure they are in school on time every day. Thank you for your continued support.

We raised an amazing £94.22 for Milly’s Smiles. Thank you
Last week was Mental Health Awareness week and Mrs Biggs from the office raised over £1000 for the Mental Health Foundation by doing a skydive at 14,000 feet! The weather was perfect and, although it was scary, it was very exciting.
Please can you ensure that you apply sun cream to your child before they come to school. The children do play outside in the nice weather as well as P.E. and it is extremely important your child has the following in school during the summer season:
· Water bottle - this is very important to ensure your child does not dehydrate
· Sun cream - please apply this before coming into school
· Sun hat or cap - this is to prevent heat stroke and sunburn on the top of your child’s head
Please ensure your child comes to school every day in the correct school uniform.
P.E. kit should be plain black shorts or leggings,a plain white T-Shirt and plain trainers. There should be no coloured clothes or logos.
Please see our school uniform policy on the school website for more information.
