World Book Day is on Thursday 5th March. Children can dress in an outfit they would like to read in e.g comfy clothes or pyjamas. If children prefer to dress as a book character then of course they can choose to do this instead.

We will be holding a competition for children called  'Where could you read for fun?' . Children need to draw a picture of themselves reading in an interesting place e.g on a beach, in space etc. The winners will receive  book vouchers

Please can we remind parents/carers that medicines should not be passed to the child or staff members at the doors—they should always be passed through the school office who will check and complete any necessary paperwork with you.

As part of their History topic, Year 6 have been learning about World War 2 and will be visiting the Imperial War Museum on Wednesday 18^th March 2026.

School is subsidising the cost of the trip, but we ask for a parental contribution of £5. This is a voluntary contribution, however if we are not able to cover the cost we may need to cancel the visit.

Please go to parent mail and complete the consent form (found in the forms section) and please pay for the visit (payments/then shop).

Below are the weekly attendance winners for each class. Please help support this achievement by reminding our winners and parents that they are to look after the prizes and they must be returned to school on Monday.

Please can we remind parents/carers that children who bring a packed lunch should not bring in hot foods that require warming up such as rice, burgers etc.

Try saying things like:

· When you are outside of your house there are lots of people. People you do not know are called strangers. Not all strangers are nice and you cannot tell if somebody is nice by how they look.

· If somebody you are not expecting to asks you to go with them never go and tell an adult.

· If you are lost or scared look for a safer adult stranger.

· Who is a safer adult stranger? A parent/ carer, a police officer, a doctor, a teacher are all examples of safer strangers

· If you cannot find a safer stranger look for a safer building you can go in to which may have safer adult strangers inside.

· What is a safer building? A church, a mosque, a police station, a local shop such as Tesco.

· If you are worried about any conversations or behaviours of strangers tell your safer people who can help.
