Every week during PE, Coaches will be choosing pupils to be their PE superstars of the week. Well done to the following children who were fantastic in PE last week:

The following children have been awarded ‘Star Reader’ and enjoyed going to the ‘Starbooks’ cafe in the library to enjoy a drink and a treat as their reward. Fantastic!

The Christmas Lunch will be taking place on Wednesday 18th December. If your child normally has a packed lunch and wishes to have a Christmas lunch then please email the school: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk no later than Monday 2nd December. After this we will not be able to put any orders through. Thank you.

Children can come in their Christmas Jumper on this day.

On Friday 13th December we will be holding a Coffee morning and Christmas sing along for grandparents at 9.10am. Please see page 8 for more information.

On Wednesday 11^th December we are holding a Christmas Fair in school. This will take place in the school hall straight after school at 3.30pm. We are asking for raffle prize donations such as food/takeaway prizes and donations of health/beauty vouchers, we would welcome and appreciate any donations you can make.

We will also be holding two non uniform days to collect prizes for our popular chocolate tombola and bottle stall. These will be held on the following dates:

· Chocolate Donations—29th November

· Bottle donations—6th December

As part of Rochdale Town Centre’s Festive

celebrations there is a Santa’s post box which is located at Rochdale Riverside – opposite Nando’s.  The photo below shows the  post box.

Children are encouraged to get creative and

prepare their Christmas letters for Santa. To ensure they get a reply from Santa letters must be posted before the 18^th Dec (letters from Santa will be sent back to the school so please ensure  letters from the children state the name of the school). We hope lots of children take the opportunity to write a letter to Father Christmas.

Thank you to everyone for your kind donations, we raised an amazing £313.50!

This week some of our children took part in the RBSGP Football event at Hopwood Hall College.

Zoe is leaving us and will be venturing on new journeys. We wish to take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work and wish her all the best for the future. You will be missed!
