Together we will achieve more!

Year Group Focus—Year 4

Last term, in history the children have enjoyed learning about the Romans. They focused on the question ‘why were the Romans such successful invaders. The children enjoyed making Roman shields and using them whilst getting into a range of army formations. To enrich the children’s learning, they also were given the opportunity to create clay models of Roman armour.

In DT, the children designed and made a seasonal salad which they loved eating! They learned about what seasonality is and how different foods are produced. Before making their final salad, the children took part in a taste testing session in order to decide what they wanted to include in theirs.

As part of their PSHE learning on different careers, Year 4 were also given a talk by two police officers about their job role. The children were given a chance to look at different police equipment and ask lots of questions!
