Year Group Focus—Nursery
In Nursery this half term we are learning about animals around the world. The children have been learning about safari, farm and jungle animals. We have found out lots of interesting information about the animals and also look at where they live in the world. Also in this half term we will be learning all about spring and looking at the life cycle of a butterfly. We are also hoping to visit forest school again so we can look for signs of spring.
In maths this half term we have been learning about numbers from 3 to 6. We have completed lots of exciting activities to help us with our counting and understanding of the numbers. When we were learning about the number 6 we read a story all about Six Dinner Sid and how he did lots of things in 6’s; he was a very cheeky cat! Over the next few weeks we will be learning about height, length, mass and capacity. We will have lots of opportunities to explore these concept in maths and also in continuous provision.
