A kinship carer is absolutely anyone who is caring for a child who is not their own under any arrangement -  SGO, Child arrangement order, private fostering or just a grandparent who has started caring for their grandchild where there has been no need for children social care to get involved as it was just a family decision.

 

The LA is running sessions for kinship carers to get together and to ensure they are aware of the support available to them. Please see the attached leaflet for more information, or follow the link below:
