Updated Covid Guidance

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back after half term. I hope you managed to enjoy your time last week. As ever, the guidance around Covid has changed, and I just wanted to share with you the most recent guidance sent to schools. Here is the most recent updated Covid Guidance:

The main symptoms of COVID-19 are::

• A new continuous cough
• A high temperature
• A loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

If your child has any of these symptoms you  should book a PCR test. This can be booked online: http://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test You are advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people while you are waiting for the test result.

If your child feels well, they can take a Lateral Flow Test from 5 days after their symptoms started (or the day their test was taken if they did not have symptoms) followed by another one the next day. If both these tests results are negative, they can return to school.

We must see proof of negative results before children can return to school. The results can be emailed to school: office@marlandhill.rochdale.sch.uk If you have any queries, then please do not hesitate to contact the school and we will support you as best as we can.
