School Closure Important Information

Dear parents and carers,

Please bear with us during this rapidly changing turn of events. Just to reassure you, we are currently working hard to ensure the education of your children continues as smoothly as possible. I expect we will need to send out various pieces of information over the coming days, so please keep checking emails/ parent mail for these updates.

As it stands, tomorrow we will only be open for the children of key workers [these key worker parents will have already shared confirmation of this with us] and vulnerable children [those with a social worker].

On Wednesday we will also be able to take children with an EHCP in school.

Remote learning will begin for all other children tomorrow. We have a list in school of those who need a device to support with this – we will be in touch with you to check if this is still the case, but please be mindful we only have a limited number of devices available.

We will confirm the situation around Free School Meals as soon as we are able to.

For those parents who are unable to work from home [currently only deemed to be key workers and construction workers], and who haven’t already notified us of this, we ask that you contact Mrs Mitchell in the office to log this with us. We will need evidence of this to support our provision and staffing in school, and will confirm when these children can come to school as soon as we can.

For those parents whose children will be attending school, please let me reassure you that we will still be following our risk assessment to ensure the school environment is as safe as possible for everyone.

Can I thank you again for your support during these challenging times. Please do not hesitate to contact school if you need any further support or help.

Please take care.

Mrs Pridgeon (Headteacher)
