This week in English, Year 6 have been looking at persuasive writing.
The children were split into groups and each given an endangered animal. Their task was to persuade Mrs Pridgeon that their animal was the one that should be adopted by the class.
All the children worked extremely hard on researching their animals and producing persuasive posters and speeches.
Mrs Pridgeon found it a very hard task to judge but the winners were:
Miss Bingham's English group - the dolphin group
Miss Hughes’s English group - the jaguar group
Miss Tudor’s English group - the polar bear group

We have had a very busy half term in Year 2!
Our topic this half term has been Florence Nightingale and we have been learning all about her amazing life. This week in History, we have shown all of our knowledge on a fact file.
In Art, we have been learning all about Florence Nightingale's pet owl Athena. We used clay to create models of our own pet owl.
In Music, we have been learning about tempo, beats and rhythm. We used the instruments to keep in time with different rhythms.
In Science, we have been learning about plants. We grew our own plants and observed how the plant changed as it grew.
Please note that high school admission applications need to be completed online by the 31st October 2023.
