Year 3 have started to work in partnership with Alkrington Primary School in Middleton, as part of a 'twinning project'. This project is an opportunity for our Year 3 children to work in partnership with children from a different community in Rochdale. The children have already exchanged letters and a fantastic piece of art work. The first face to face workshops took place today with Miss Button's class and our new friends from Alkrington at the M6 Theatre. Mrs Hall's class are looking forward to their workshop on Wednesday 8th November. We will keep you posted.
Our next parent drop in with Mrs Cunningham will be on Monday 13th November from 09:00am to 10:00am. If there is anything you want to discuss please come along and drop in. Thanks.
We will be running two 'Reception Parents Phonics Workshops' on Tuesday 7th November and Thursday 9th November from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. The workshops will explain the way we teach phonics within school and also provide you with some ideas and games for helping your child with their phonics and reading at home. Parents can attend any one of the Workshops. Thank you.
We have a new reward scheme in school, that has replaced our weekly Dojo Winner Certificates. Children will now be able to exchange their Dojo points for small gifts from our Dojo shop. Children can spend their points once they reach 50 points, or they can chose to save them up for a bigger prize. The Dojo shop will be open every Friday at 2:30pm, and children will need to have their Dojo Dollar signed by their class teacher in order to exchange them. All points will have to be spent by the end of half term, or they will be lost, and once a child has spent their points, their bubble will be reset.
Our next parent drop in with Mrs Cunningham will be on Monday 13th November from 9:00-10:00am. If there is anything you want to discuss please come and drop in. Thanks.
On Wednesday 1st November we held our annual ‘Monster Ball'. A fab time was had by all who attended. The costumes were absolutely fantastic—and that also included parents. Thank you!
