School Council Day at Ashworth Valley 2018

Marland Hill Student Council Members went to the IPLCN School Council Day at Ashworth Valley. They spent the day making autumn frames which are hanging around the school building. We made a camp fire, drank hot chocolate and even went grass sledging. Very muddy grass sledging. A fantastic day was had by all!.

Poster Design

School Council have been asked if they could design a poster for Rochdale's local offer.

The design needed to show:

  • Support
  • Being an individual
  • Showing Rochdale off
  • 0-25 year olds

As usual, everyone worked really hard and our entries have been sent off to Rochdale Council.

Maybe one of our logos could be a winner...

School Council Local Offer entries

Passage way at the back of Marland Hill School

The Marland Hill School Council wrote about 12 letters to Rochdale Council to complain about the state of the passage way that leads to school from Roche Valley Way.

Success! They received a letter from the council recently advising that Rochdale Borough Wide Housing will strim back any vegetation and carry out a litter pick. What a great result for the School and Local Community. Well Done School Council!

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
